Today's adventure.... where do I start! I love being a servant of God as it takes me so many places out of my comfort zone and stretches me and grows me. This morning Jerry Perez and I started with a study in the Bible about Submission not Addition. Then off to Puerto Plata to meet with Public Health about getting our medicines out of customs at the airport, which they took from me 2 weeks ago. We spent the whole day in Puerto Plata and finally got our letter, I dropped Jerry off at the bus terminal and rushed to the airport where after waiting almost 45 minutes I walked out with my suitcase full of meds. First I want to thank God! Second I want to thank Dr. Lambert for his help in getting us a meeting at Public Health. Third I want to thank all of you that have been praying! This has been an incredible two weeks! The biggest and greatest blessing of the two weeks was we saw 8 people accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! Fruits of our labor for the Lord! Thank you Jesus!

Another great day on the mission field! This morning we had devotion with the Crosspointe Mission Team 2019 - The Main Thing - then off to the airport. Sad to see them go but glad we were blessed with a great week together and all left healthy and safe. Then Jerry Perez and I went to buy materials for the house build in La Vigia. Then we went to La Vigia and while there had a great time of fellowship with Duba and his wife Gladys prepared an excellent meal for us. Then we went to order the doors and windows for the house. Hopefully Tuesday they will be installed. Then we went and visited with Kaitlin and Isai while Jerry got his haircut - Dominican style. Then we were off to order more materials for the house and then we went to the apt for a little while before heading over to Rey and Reny's house for dinner.....but before dinner something tremendous happened! Rey took us to visit Eddie. Eddie was our guide for snorkeling the day before. He has a girlfriend who is 15 and pregnant...Eddie is 22. We shared the gospel with the both of them and they both decided to accept Jesus as Savior! Then they got married by Rey - unofficially - but they vowed to be true to each other and to God! Then we went to Rey's for a huge delicious dinner. After dinner we had Habichuela con dulce and then went upstairs for massages from Rey! We had a time of fellowship and worship! excellent day with excellent people but most of all I thank God for two more saved souls! Blessings!

Day 5 with Crosspointe Church Mission Team 2019 - Another beautiful day! First we started with devotion and communion. Then off to a Dominican Church service and the fire was there...>WOW! Jerry Perez led the Church in a song that lit the place on fire and then we heard some songs and a great message from the Pastor - making the Holy Spirit comfortable and being comfortable with the Holy Spirit! Then we had a nice lunch at the hotel and then we went to see the Clinic and Paradise village. Tomorrow is our last day together and God has really blessed us tremendously this week!

Day 4 with Crosspointe Church Mission Team 2019 - WOW! We started with a devotion - Abstaining - then we were off to La Vigia to do a prayer walk and it was spectacular! We had 6 people accept Jesus as Savior today and we prayed for many! Party time! Then we visited Pastora Mamota's house and Severina - the woman we are building the house for gave a heart felt speech to the group. Then we had lunch at Duba's and then we were off to Villa Betania to do another Children's program - this time in the street and it was sunny and hot but the team did great and the children were blessed with the Word, food, drink, gifts and Bibles. Then we all visited Rey's house and family. Another great day on the mission field. We thank God that today He gave us 6 new Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Day 3 with Crosspointe Church Mission team 2019 - Another blessed day serving the Lord. Today we started with two more people going to volunteer in the Paradise Medical Clinic and had team devotions - Dealing with a hard heart. Then off to La Vigia to continue working on the floor of the house we are building. I am happy to report the team mixed lots of concrete on the ground and finished the floor! At lunch Rey led us in a great time of worship. God is good!

Day 2 with Crosspointe Church Mission Team 2019 - Another great day on the mission field. Started with 2 people going to the clinic to give a hand and our team devotion - Throne Room Living! Then off to La Vigia to continue working on the house. Today we started pouring the floor and that means mixing concrete on the ground. It was hot and hard but the team did a great job. Then we had Dominican lunch and Jugo de Tamarindo! So good! Rey led us in worship and we had a time of prayer. Then we did a Children's program in La Vigia. The Children were truly blessed by the team as every child and some adults received the Word of God, food, drink, a gift and a Bible. Great day serving a magnificent God!

Day 1 with Crosspointe Church Mission Team 2019 - GREAT DAY! We started the day with a devotion - not my will but Your will be done Lord! Then off to La Vigia to continue building a house. The team wheelbarrowed, shoveled, pick axed, sifted sand and leveling the floor to get it ready to pour tomorrow! While we were on the work site some team members asked me how much did we need to finish the house and shortly after that we received word that Pastor Tracy Pounders was sending the remaining funds we needed to finish the house! WOW! Needed that - just saying! Then we had lunch at Duba's - highlight was the Mangos that our translator Denis brought for us. How generous! Then our other translator Rey led us in worship - always a powerful Holy Spirit time. Then we were off to do a Children's program in Monte Llano. The team did a drama/skit and had cardboard testimonies. Every child received the Word of God, food, drink and a gift...complete with a Bible. Great News! When we returned to the hotel the one missing luggage had arrived! Praise God for giving us another great day on the mission field!

Mission Update: Clearview Community Church 2019 has left. Today we put them on a plane back to Canada. It was a great week of ministry together. We worshiped, worked, ministered, taught, and loved on many people this week. We started to build another home in La Vigia with the team finishing the septic tank hole and pouring the foundation. Every day started with devotion and prayer together. We were able to minister to over 300 children who received the Bible teaching, testimonies, food, drink and gifts. Relationships were formed and we all grew in our faith. The highlight of the week was on the last day we did a prayer walk and saw 3 people accept Jesus as their Savior!!! Fruit of our labor. The week ended with a nice dinner and debrief sharing time together. Thank you Clearview Community Church for your continued commitment to the ministry here in the Dominican Republic and partnership with WSM. We glorified God together!

We want to take a moment to remember all that was accomplished and all the people that were helped through this ministry in 2018. We thank you for your support and encouragement - we could not do what this ministry does to help those in need of homes and medical care without you! And, with that said, we need you to continue in 2019!
