Today's adventure.... where do I start! I love being a servant of God as it takes me so many places out of my comfort zone and stretches me and grows me. This morning Jerry Perez and I started with a study in the Bible about Submission not Addition. Then off to Puerto Plata to meet with Public Health about getting our medicines out of customs at the airport, which they took from me 2 weeks ago. We spent the whole day in Puerto Plata and finally got our letter, I dropped Jerry off at the bus terminal and rushed to the airport where after waiting almost 45 minutes I walked out with my suitcase full of meds. First I want to thank God! Second I want to thank Dr. Lambert for his help in getting us a meeting at Public Health. Third I want to thank all of you that have been praying! This has been an incredible two weeks! The biggest and greatest blessing of the two weeks was we saw 8 people accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! Fruits of our labor for the Lord! Thank you Jesus!
Another great day on the mission field! This morning we had devotion with the Crosspointe Mission Team 2019 - The Main Thing - then off to the airport. Sad to see them go but glad we were blessed with a great week together and all left healthy and safe. Then Jerry Perez and I went to buy materials for the house build in La Vigia. Then we went to La Vigia and while there had a great time of fellowship with Duba and his wife Gladys prepared an excellent meal for us. Then we went to order the doors and windows for the house. Hopefully Tuesday they will be installed. Then we went and visited with Kaitlin and Isai while Jerry got his haircut - Dominican style. Then we were off to order more materials for the house and then we went to the apt for a little while before heading over to Rey and Reny's house for dinner.....but before dinner something tremendous happened! Rey took us to visit Eddie. Eddie was our guide for snorkeling the day before. He has a girlfriend who is 15 and pregnant...Eddie is 22. We shared the gospel with the both of them and they both decided to accept Jesus as Savior! Then they got married by Rey - unofficially - but they vowed to be true to each other and to God! Then we went to Rey's for a huge delicious dinner. After dinner we had Habichuela con dulce and then went upstairs for massages from Rey! We had a time of fellowship and worship! excellent day with excellent people but most of all I thank God for two more saved souls! Blessings!
