I have to post this! In the Clinic we have a comments box, you have to have one of these to meet the license requirements by law! Today I looked inside and someone had left a message/comment! Here is what it said " We feel very content and satisfied with the clinic. It is important to the communities because the people of the communities are very poor and sometimes do not have any money". I do not know who left this message but it tells the story of what this clinic means to so many. Thank you to all those that support and partner with us in this ministry! Blessings in Jesus name!
Another busy and fruitful week in the Paradise Medical Clinic! We saw and helped over 200 patients this week! Today was exciting! A 15 year old girl from the high school down the street was brought in unresponsive. The Doctor and nurses went to work and had her revived in no time at all. Gave her some treatments and meds and 30 minutes later she walked out the door fine! But today's highlight was our patient named Eliveria! She is almost 96 years old and so sweet! She asked me if I liked eggs. Well anyone who knows me knows I hate eggs so my answer was no. She said this" Oh I want to give you something but all I have is eggs, the fruit trees are not producing right now. I wanted to give you something because you have helped me so much especially living a longer life. Without this clinic and the medical care and medicines that you provide, I would have died long ago, thank you". That made my day! Blessing to everyone who supports and partners with this ministry to help the poor!
Today I would like to share something with you all if I may! One of our regular patients, his name is Teodoro. He has high blood pressure and diabetes. He takes 3 different pills for blood pressure and another pill for his diabetes. He had a stroke about a year ago, his second stroke in 4 years. He also has prostate issues and has a catheter and urine bag. His wife takes care of him but it is hard for her, she also has high blood pressure and diabetes. They are poor and do not have much but they have each other. Imagine you have very little money.....I mean very little! Then you have these illnesses and have had 2 strokes. Your wife has to help dress you and then help you get on a motorcycle to go to the clinic. You struggle to walk with a cane and after seeing the Doctor and getting your medicines you have to struggle to get back on a motorcycle to get back home. On top of that it was like 95 F out today with full sun. Thought for the day......How hard was your day?! Blessings in Jesus name.
Update: The Paradise Clinic continues to bless many in need. We had a 13 year old girl come in and she is pregnant, always hard for us to see this. Tried talking to the young girl but she is in love with her 24 year old boyfriend and says that they are married! We had a patient today who was at the clinic for the first time. After they consulted with the Doctor and then got their medicines they said to me " Thank you very much". Now that may not sound so amazing as to share but we did 38 consults today and they were the only one that said thank you very much. Just a reminder to always be thankful....first to God and then to those around us that bless us. Sometimes you can be a blessing just by saying Thank you! Sooo.......THANK YOU!, to all that pray, support and partner with us in this ministry. You are blessing us and many others!
